They said it wouldn’t happen but some of us had faith in Mother Nature.
Here is the proof…
Printers Alley is looking a little more Christmasy (a tad late):

Cars are being dusted in the white stuff and it looks like more is on the way…

After spending the holiday with family in Alabama, we rushed back to Nashville to watch the Titans lose yet another game. It was cold, very cold. And we lost the chance for a wild card place. Merry Christmas.
Did I mention that it was cold?

Cheerleaders looked cold…

But there was Cotton Candy…

And we lost on National TV…

Chargers vs Titans…the last hurrah.

Yeah, that’s what I said…snow! The weather guru’s in Nashville are saying we might get some frozen wet stuff on Thanksgiving. Woohoo!
Remember last year? We got more than a dusting and it was wonderful. I got a few shots of it and am sharing some of them here. Enjoy!

Oh and Happy Thanksgiving!

Now don’t forget to run out and buy some bread and milk. It’s the law.
Yes, I was wondering that myself! Good thing our kitten, Sushi, was able to show us what it looks like.
Here she is caught in the act:
I didn’t do it!
Oh, look! TP to play with…
What TP? I don’t see no stinkin TP…
The trail of evidence…
Our lesson today? Leave the bathroom door closed when you have an over active kitten.
I went to see the taping of Good Morning American yesterday, here in Nashville. They were promoting the CMA Awards and Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley played because they are hosting the event tonight at the Sommet Center.
Carrie showed up in huge sunglasses and a knit bunny hat for her first set. Then she complained and yawned the whole time she was doing the warm up set. Seems miss thang isn’t a morning person! I don’t blaim her, I was up at 4AM to cover the show and it wasn’t a pretty sight.
Here are some photos from the show, enjoy!

There was chatter on Twitter today about Carrie Underwood playing at the Sommet Center tomorrow morning for Good Morning America to promote the CMA’s. I thought about going down there (at 6AM) and see if I could get some photos of her.
Then I sat down for some lunch (a humongus burrito from our neighbor ‘Chili Burrito’. I love living so close to all the good stuff!) and to read my new ‘Lucky’ magazine. Guess who was on the cover? Yep-Ms Underwood! Good grief, the woman is popping up everywhere.
That seals the deal. I am definitely getting up at dawn to check home girl out. See yall there!
It’s true; I began drooling for the new Droid phone as soon as I heard about it. I waited, and waited, and waited, impatiently for D day. Friday was the drop date for the phone but I waited until Saturday to avoid the mass of humanity that would undoubtedly be converging on the local Verizon store.
Bad move. The place was packed! I guess everyone had the same plan as I did. When I walked in, dude at the front asked me what I was interested in, and with a cheesy grin, I said “the Droid! Duh!” He just smiled that knowing smile and directed me to fill out an electronic form so I could join the list of other waiters.
While waiting (yet again) to be served, I was able to physically handle the gadget that I had been reading so much about for the last few months. Compared to my old phone, this one is thinner, wider and longer. Nice. Then I started looking at the apps already loaded on it. Very nice. There was even one for scanning barcodes. It’s true! What will people think of next?
My name was called (finally) and I was whisked away to the back desk to take care of paperwork. My new friend, Victor, opened the box to my holy grail and proceeded to drop the prize. A quick run back to the store room and Victor produced the second Droid much to my self contained glee.
I handed over my old phone, so Vic could transfer my contacts and photos to the new addition to my family. He said it would only take about five minutes.
Forty minutes later, and countless inquiries for additional help from other employees, my new gadget was ready. Who knew that my stash of 70 photos would take so long to transfer? No biggie. It was officially mine!
Holding it in my sweaty palm, I gently tapped the front and my eyes grew large in anticipation. I was in overload. So much to look at, so much to tap, passwords to enter and sites to visit. I grew giddy and my hubby grew impatient. I looked up and realized we were still at the store. My bad! But wait. I had to do one thing. I sent a test tweet and smiled to myself. I was in nirvana.
After a quick trip to have lunch, we arrived (finally) at home, so I could play with my new toy. Heaven! The transfer of contacts included my Facebook friends, too. Woot! There were pics of everyone I followed, right next to my phone contacts. Plus it showed on a cool thingy where everyone was. It was mapped! I found apps for Twitter, Facebook, news, weather…it was way too much to absorb all at once. And my battery was drained. So my hubby ripped my new Droid from my hot hand and plugged it in.
So what are my thoughts so far on it? I dunno yet. There is so much to look at and explore, it may take a while. But so far…me likey.
Last Easter, Tony Hawk, did something amazing-he held a nationwide scavenger hunt on Twitter. Something more amazing than that? I won a deck! It’s true. This old broad went up against local young-uns and got to the site first and found the prize!
After I figured out the clues, I literally jumped on my scooter and rode ‘like the wind’ until I got to Centennial Park. LOL Check out my account of the exciting hunt….(BTW-I was so into the moment that I forgot I was wearing a helmet, hence the dork photos!)
Here are a few photos from the day:
The happy winner!

The slogan ‘get more’ might refer to downtime lately. The worldwide cellphone site is down and no one seems to know why. A quick glance at the company’s site has no clue as to why subscribers are getting busy signals or their calls are being disconnected. Twitter is aflutter to the reasons…
What next???
